Why teams pick
DETENT
FAQ
Frequently challenged
Does this mean my agent cannot be tricked?
No, and anyone promising that is lying. Assurance is the loop around the trick.
What happens if DETENT is down?
Payments fail closed. They stop, and the gap is written into the record.
Do you hold keys or funds?
Never. Keys stay with your provider. Non-custodial by structure.
What don't you cover?
We secure the payment path. If an agent overpays for a bad deal inside the limits you set, that payment is yours; the wall enforces your policy, it does not have opinions. Everything outside the payment path, from leaked prompts to bad code commits, is a different product, and anyone selling you one box for all of it is selling theater.
What if DETENT itself is compromised?
The account's own hard caps hold even then, because they do not depend on us. And if we are unreachable, payments stop rather than proceed. Fail closed is the whole design.
What about venues where you have no on-chain lock?
Enforcement depth varies by venue. Where the account itself can hold a lock, it does, and skipping our checker changes nothing. Everywhere else the checker still refuses in line, and every action still leaves a receipt. One policy, one evidence trail, everywhere your agents act.

Ready to see transaction security live?
Four engineers. A live testnet. Zero customers yet, by design.
The testnet is our product running live on Base Sepolia. No account. Break it and keep the receipts.
